Moonlight Pond Tour 2008
We usually hold a Moonlight Pond Tour during the month of October.  Last year, after having dealt with
Michael's illness and having a baby, I was just too darn tired to plan anything!

In previous years, we only featured ponds that we installed and that left out people looking for a venue to show
their ponds that are constructed with different systems.  I have decided that this year, we are not going to
exclude anyone from showing their water feature.  Because of this, we have a variety of ponds and watefalls to
choose from.

Tickets: $20 Each
Benefiting:  Jerry Eggleston, Vietnam War Vet, Cancer Patient
Jerry served during the Vietnam war.  He was based in Guam and flew refueling missions over Vietnam.  Jerry
was diagnosed with Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma earlier this year.  He is completely unable to work right now.
This has depleted his savings and he is now trying to figure out how to get by.  He is currently in the Veteran's
Hospital in Boise, Idaho recovering from pneumonia that almost took his life last week.  His wife, Carol, works
for a nursing home as a activities director.  She has used all of her vacation time to drive Jerry to his treatments
and to be with him during this current hospital stay.
Please enjoy our tour this year and know that you are helping to support a worthy family.

The tour is October 3rd & 4th from 5 to 9 pm.

To Purchase tickets:  There is no official tour ticket.  The

Description:   Aquascape with a Wetland filtration system .   It was fashioned to
enhance our backyard shape and promote a natural ecosystem. The pond is
roughly 11’ by 16’ by 2’ with three streams feeding into it from a Wetland filtration
system. The streams are flowing at 6000 GPH water flow from the combined
output of a 4500 GPH and a 1500 GPH water pump. At night, the 4500 GPH pump
is turned off to reduce the waterfall noise while the 1500 GPH pump continues to
oxygenate the water and provide a soothing night atmosphere.

The pond is populated with a count of 16 Koi that love to eat from our fingers. They
range in size from 6 inches to 18 inches, all with their own unique colors and
markings. A multitude of flora and fauna span our backyard and pond for a
pleasing background experience. Our backyard even hosts a secret garden path
through flowers and plants for those interested in the relaxing solitude of a
padded bench under a 70 foot Cedar tree.

At night, the backyard and pond are highlighted with light that guides our paths
and promotes the splendor of the pond experience. Lighted colorful Dragonflies
and other deco pieces dot the landscape for added whimsical notes. Three
transformers, one 80 watt and two 600 watt, provide the power for the series of 12
volt lights. All lights are un-colored so that the beautiful natural color of the plants,
pond, and Koi are brought forth.
